Nina Benchimol is a visual artist and performer, born in 1992, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she lives and works as a freelancer. Her background has been shaped by a production of graphic compositions applied to several media, and inspired by figurative repertoires and geometric patterns of traditional cultures. Her activities include body expressions from photographic studies in partnership with other artists, which result in creative and thematic images.

Focusing on an articulation between the creative process of fine arts and sensory experiences, since 2014, she has been  dedicating to individual body painting performances followed by photographic records in Parque Lage Botanical Gardens, in Rio de Janeiro. In this scope, she also held body painting workshops for various audiences, such as, the International Alternative Culture Festival (2014) in Alto Paraíso city, Chapada dos Veadeiros, state of Goiás; InVentos Project (2015), at Fundição Progresso, Rio de Janeiro; Projeto Periférico (2015) promoted by SESC Cultural School Space, Rio de Janeiro; II Serra Folk Festival (2018), in Cachoeiras de Macacu, state of Rio de Janeiro; and the Tupiniquim Festival (2018), promoted by Casa Borbulhante Cultural Center, Rio de Janeiro.

She is currently developing printmaking projects, with emphasis on research involving the necessary articulations between aesthetics and the concept of sustainability related to the productive processes of handmade fashion.
